BOISDALES OF BISHOPSGATE HERF! (MARCH 2003)

On Wednesday 12th March our regular monthly herf was held at Boisdales of Bishopsgate.

For those who haven't visited Boisdales in Bishopsgate or Belgravia, these restaurants are
very highly recommended.

Managed by Ranald McDonald and offering an incredibly comprehensive range of single malt whisky as well as being completely cigar friendly.

The menu and service cannot be faulted and the atmosphere is relaxed and fairly informal.

Live jazz music completes the perfect evening out.

Amongst many friends who enjoyed the evening, it was marvelous to see Vimal Shah from Burlington Bertie who in our opinion is the best cigar merchant in the City of London and visitors to London are always assured a warm welcome at his fine cigar shop, situated at 57 Houndsditch, London, EC3A 8AA

We all smoked Cohiba Seleccion Reserva piramides and robustos and everyone commented what a magnificent cigar these are.

My opinion is that Seleccion Reserva are the best cigars that have been made in many years.

Medium flavour, medium strength, very smooth and creamy with background notes of chocolate and an excellent sweet finish (one for the roach clip)!

The evening was rounded off with a final Cohiba and 10 year old Springbank.

A few photos below in a haze of smoke!

All the best
