Harvesting tobacco is a delicate and laborious operation.
Transferring tobacco leaves to Curing barn/stripping house.
Leaves ready in Curing barns to be hung up to dry
The leaves are tied in bunches
The leaves are tied in bunches

Leaves are hung on horizontal poles and then transported to drying rooms.
Drying takes approx 45-60 days. The leaves hung on small poles in storehouses known as casas del tabaco, gradually turns from bright green to brown

Humidification process carried out after the drying so that the leaves do not dry out and become brittle. Once sprayed, the bunches of leaves are suspended in order to eliminate excess water
